About this extension
Alexandry shows a quick summary and the papers that cite it directly in the margin of the paper you're reading — no more opening five tabs to decide if a paper is worth your time.
Works on:
- arXiv (arxiv.org/abs/...)
- PubMed (pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov)
- Semantic Scholar (semanticscholar.org/paper/...)
- Google Scholar search results
For each paper, Alexandry shows:
- A 3-sentence summary (generated on demand, with a "regenerate" option)
- The most-cited papers citing it
- Recommended related papers
How it works
Alexandry brings your own Anthropic API key for summaries (you control cost and usage — typically under $0.001 per summary with Claude Haiku). Citation and recommendation data comes from the free Semantic Scholar API. A lightweight, optional shared cache means popular papers are often already summarized by someone else, so you frequently get instant results without spending anything.
Open source, no account required, no tracking. Your API key is stored only in your browser's local storage.
