This Privacy Policy applies to the AnimeDemons Companion browser extension for Firefox and Chrome.

AnimeDemons Companion provides signed-in AnimeDemons members with quick access to their anime library, watched episode progress, schedule, notifications and catalog search.

The extension communicates with https://animedemons.ro for account, library, notification, schedule and catalog functionality. Public artwork displayed by the extension may also be loaded from image-hosting services used by AnimeDemons or AniList.

AnimeDemons Companion does not monitor or collect browsing activity from unrelated websites.



When you are signed in to AnimeDemons, your existing AnimeDemons session may be used by the extension to authenticate requests to animedemons.ro over HTTPS.

The extension may receive information associated with your AnimeDemons account, including:

• Account identifier
• Username
• Display name
• Avatar
• Profile frame
• Profile URL

AnimeDemons Companion does not request, read or store your AnimeDemons password.


The extension may retrieve and update information required to provide its library features, including:

• Anime titles
• Watchlist status
• Watched episode progress
• Related schedule information

This information is used to display and update your AnimeDemons library through the extension.


The extension may process notification information including:

• Notification identifiers
• Titles
• Episode numbers
• Read status
• Artwork
• Destination links

This information is used to display unread notification counts and requested desktop notifications.


Catalog search queries are sent to AnimeDemons only after you enter at least two characters into the extension's search feature.

Selected text from a webpage is sent to AnimeDemons search only when you explicitly choose the AnimeDemons search option from the browser context menu.

The extension does not automatically collect text from websites you visit.


Some information is stored locally using browser extension storage, including:

• Theme preference
• Compact mode preference
• Notification preferences
• Notification identifiers and destination links used to prevent duplicate notifications

The extension may keep up to 500 known notification identifiers locally.


AnimeDemons infrastructure may process standard technical information when the extension communicates with the service, including:

• IP address
• Browser user agent
• Request timestamps
• Requested API paths

This information may be used for security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting and service reliability.


Information processed by AnimeDemons Companion is used only as necessary to:

• Authenticate your AnimeDemons account
• Display and update your anime library
• Synchronize watched episode progress
• Provide anime schedules
• Provide catalog search
• Deliver requested notifications
• Prevent duplicate notifications
• Maintain the security and reliability of AnimeDemons services

AnimeDemons does not sell extension user data.

Extension data is not used for personalized advertising, retargeted advertising, interest-based advertising or credit decisions.

AnimeDemons personnel do not access private extension data except when necessary to provide support requested by the user, investigate security or abuse, maintain the service, comply with legal obligations, or otherwise operate functionality requested by the user.


Extension data is not shared with third parties for their independent advertising or marketing purposes.

Information may be processed by service providers that are necessary to operate AnimeDemons, such as hosting, infrastructure and network-security providers.

AnimeDemons may use infrastructure providers such as Cloudflare.

Public anime artwork may be delivered through AnimeDemons or AniList-related image infrastructure. Requests for these images may include standard connection information such as an IP address and browser information, but they do not include your AnimeDemons password.

Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law or when reasonably necessary to protect AnimeDemons, its users or its services from fraud, abuse or security threats.


Local extension preferences remain stored in your browser until you clear the extension's data or uninstall the extension.

Locally stored notification identifiers used to prevent duplicate alerts may remain until they are replaced, cleared or the extension is removed.

AnimeDemons account and library information is retained according to your account choices and only as necessary to provide, secure and maintain the service or comply with applicable legal obligations.


Personal or sensitive information transmitted between AnimeDemons Companion and AnimeDemons services is transmitted using HTTPS.

The extension does not request or store your AnimeDemons password.

AnimeDemons Companion does not include remote executable code.

Site access requested by the extension is limited to the permissions necessary to provide its described functionality.


You may:

• Disable desktop notifications from the extension settings.
• Clear locally stored extension information through your browser.
• Sign out of animedemons.ro to stop authenticated synchronization.
• Uninstall AnimeDemons Companion at any time to remove locally stored extension data.
• Request access, correction or deletion of applicable AnimeDemons account information by contacting contact@animedemons.ro.

AnimeDemons Companion uses information obtained through browser APIs only to provide or improve the user-facing functionality described in this Privacy Policy.

The use and transfer of information received from browser APIs complies with applicable browser extension marketplace policies, including the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy and its Limited Use requirements.


This Privacy Policy may be updated when AnimeDemons Companion functionality, data practices or applicable legal requirements change.

Material changes affecting how extension user data is handled will be disclosed through the extension, the AnimeDemons website or the applicable browser extension store when required.
