BrowserWorker Privacy Policy

BrowserWorker is the Chrome and Firefox extension for Vector Agent, published by Tarun Goyal.

Overview

BrowserWorker processes browser information only to provide browser-automation tasks requested by the user. The publisher does not sell user data, use it for advertising or credit decisions, or operate a separate analytics or task-processing backend.

Information handled

BrowserWorker may handle:

• Task prompts, follow-up messages, and explicit action confirmations.
• Task-related tab URLs and titles.
• Visible page text, links, interactive-element metadata, and non-password form values.
• Screenshots of the visible tab when Vision mode is enabled.
• Automation results, conversation history, task status, and diagnostic task logs.
• Provider choice, model settings, consent state, and user-supplied API credentials.
• Personal, financial, health, location, authentication, search, or communications information when it appears in task-related website content selected by the user.

Password field values are excluded from text extraction. A screenshot may still show anything visible on screen, so users should avoid Vision mode on sensitive pages.

How information is used and shared

BrowserWorker sends the prompt and relevant browser context directly to the AI provider selected by the user, solely to plan and perform the requested task.

API credentials are sent only to authenticate requests to the selected provider. Depending on the user's choice, the recipient is OpenAI, DeepSeek, OpenRouter, or a local or remote OpenAI-compatible endpoint configured by the user.

Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. The BrowserWorker publisher does not receive task content through a separate backend.

Local storage and retention

Settings, API credentials, consent state, drafts, conversations, and task logs remain in the local browser profile until the user deletes them, clears extension storage, or uninstalls BrowserWorker.

BrowserWorker does not copy this local history to a publisher-controlled server.

Users can delete individual conversations, clear credentials in settings, remove website access through the browser's extension settings, clear extension data, or uninstall BrowserWorker.

Security

Remote AI-provider requests use HTTPS. Plain HTTP model endpoints are accepted only for loopback hosts such as localhost.

Access to extension-local storage is restricted where the browser provides that capability. Users are responsible for protecting access to their operating-system and browser accounts and for choosing providers they trust.

Data-use limitations

BrowserWorker's use and transfer of information is limited to providing its single user-facing purpose: browser automation explicitly requested by the user.

Information is not sold, used for personalized advertising or credit decisions, or made available for humans to read except with the user's explicit consent for support, for security purposes, or when required by law.

BrowserWorker's use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements, and with Mozilla's Add-on Policies for data collection, transmission, disclosure, and control.

Changes and contact

Material changes to BrowserWorker's data practices will be prominently disclosed and will require renewed in-extension consent before the changed processing begins.
