About this extension
Modern pages are loud. Thumbnails, autoplay video, animated ads, emoji in every headline. Cognitive Comfort blurs all of it so the text is what you see first, and shows you any piece of media the moment you ask.

Revealing works however you prefer: click a blurred image, hover over it, or hold Ctrl+Shift+A to peek at the whole page and let it blur again when you let go.

Every site can have its own rules. Trust a photography blog? Turn blurring off there and it stays off. Want it stricter on social media? Force it on for that domain only. There's also an optional mode that hides emoji.

Some things this extension will never do: it doesn't block or rewrite page content beyond the blur, it doesn't collect anything, and it never talks to a server. Your settings live in your browser's local storage and nowhere else. The code is open source: https://github.com/olegpulatov/cognitive-comfort

Shortcuts: Ctrl+Shift+U pauses, Ctrl+Shift+O toggles the current site, Ctrl+Shift+A peeks while held, Ctrl+Shift+E toggles blurring globally. On a Mac these use Control, not Command.
