Cut the Crap by SuperFire

About this extension
Cut the Crap turns any webpage's prose into either the blunt truth or a parody of corporate waffle — your choice, one click.
CUT THE CRAP (decrapify)
Compresses bloated, jargon-heavy writing — humblebrags, corporate layoff emails, marketing copy, evasive news ledes, buried forum questions — down to the one honest sentence it was actually trying to say.
"I am beyond humbled to announce I'm embarking on a new professional chapter..." → "I got a new job."
PILE ON THE CRAP (crapify)
The reverse: feed it a plain statement and watch it inflate into a shameless, buzzword-saturated post, complete with manufactured vulnerability, hashtags, and unearned life lessons.
HOW IT WORKS
• Click the toolbar icon on any page and pick a mode: Crapify, Normal, or Decrapify. Every site starts on Normal, so nothing happens until you turn it on.
• The first time you enable a site, your browser will ask you to confirm access to that one site — the extension never asks for access to everything at once.
• Add your API key once in Settings (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or MiniMax) and you're done. Switch sites and modes freely — no page reload needed.
BRING YOUR OWN KEY
Cut the Crap doesn't run its own backend or sell a subscription. Connect your own API key for OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini), or MiniMax, and pay that provider directly at cost. Switch providers anytime.
PRIVACY BY DESIGN
• No blanket "read and change all your data on all websites" permission — enabling a site requests access to just that one origin.
• Page text and URLs are never written to disk. They're processed in memory and sent only to the AI provider you configured, only for sites you've explicitly turned on.
• No analytics, no telemetry, no tracking of what you read or browse.
• Off by default, everywhere.
Whether you want the internet to stop lying to you or you just want to see how absurd corporate-speak can get, Cut the Crap is a one-click solution for you.
