Deal Finder adds a small data panel to property listing pages on Zillow, Redfin, and Realtor.com. When you open any listing, it automatically checks two public government databases and shows you the results right on the page.
WHAT IT SHOWS
☢️ EPA Superfund & Hazard Sites — checks the EPA ECHO database for regulated industrial and hazardous facilities within 1 mile of the property address.
🌊 FEMA Flood Zone — retrieves the official FEMA National Flood Hazard Layer designation for the exact property location.
WHY THIS MATTERS
Most listing pages only show what the agent wants you to see. Deal Finder surfaces facts that are public record but hard to find:
A nearby industrial cleanup site can affect property value, air quality, and resale potential. A high-risk FEMA flood zone can mean mandatory flood insurance of $2,000–$5,000 per year on top of your mortgage — a cost that listings never mention.
Knowing these things before your showing — not after your offer — changes everything.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Install the extension
2. Go to any listing on Zillow, Redfin, or Realtor.com
3. A compact panel appears automatically in the corner

DATA SOURCES
All data comes directly from official US government APIs:
• EPA ECHO — Environmental Protection Agency facility and hazard data
• FEMA NFHL — National Flood Hazard Layer (official flood zone maps)
• OpenStreetMap Nominatim — open-source geocoding to locate the property
PRIVACY
Deal Finder does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The only information sent over the network is the property address (to geocode it) and the resulting coordinates (to query EPA and FEMA). No analytics. No tracking. No third-party ad networks.
SETTINGS
You can toggle EPA and flood data independently, set a default collapsed state for the panel, and optionally connect your Deal Finder account for future premium features.
