To retrieve your IP and location information, the Extension makes a direct request from your browser to ipinfo.io.

• When the Extension is activated, it sends a request to the ipinfo.io API.
• This request necessarily reveals your IP address to ipinfo.io so that they can return the relevant location data.

4. Data Storage and Retention

The Extension operates on an ephemeral basis. Data retrieved from the third-party service is held in the browser's volatile memory (RAM) only for the duration required to display it to you.
* We do not store your IP address or location history locally on your hard drive.

Communication between the Extension and the third-party service (ipinfo.io) is conducted over an encrypted HTTPS connection to ensure that your IP and location data are protected from interception during transmission.
