This addon works still on YT with HD-Videos; where other addons don't work anymore, this one didn't let me down yet. The developer keeps up with updates to keep it running. As far as I got it's not possible anymore to download HD-videos directly from YT with addons, so this addon grabs it with an external server and delivers it as regular download from there.

I recommend to upgrade to the paid version, as you get the full download functionality (otherwise you can only download in lesser resolutions, OR if the HD-Version of a video already was downloaded by a pro User)
When I bought the Pro version, I had an issue with downloading videos in HD, but the developer responded within one day, and I could download everything, thank to the dev here, again :)

This is a great extension! It is reliable and easy to use. The developer does a good job keeping it working with Firefox's updates. If you like to download YouTube vids, I highly recommend this add-on.

Downloading video works very sporadically with Firefox 56. Downloading mp3 audio is fine. Developer made a solid effort to help, but the add-on doesn't work with FF56 for video in most circumstances. More recent versions of Firefox appear to have no problems. Updated: works perfectly on FF88 on another laptop. This app is updated regularly, so I donated to upgrade to the unrestricted version. A must for grabbing YouTube vids. Now 5 stars and highly recommended.

The "Easy YouTube Videodownloader" app works outstanding. For a very small donation of $10, I upgraded it to the Pro version and I have already downloaded several videos from YouTube in HD. I am very happy. Also... At first, I did not realize what my activation code was so I emailed the App Creator and got a very helpful reply from Dishita within a few hours. Honestly, from some of the bad comments and after trying out other apps with bad results, I did not have high hopes but I can say I am very happy with this app and with the customer service I received from Dishita. I am a big music fan and plan to download lots of HD concerts from YouTube. I highly recommend this app. It's worth it.

I am a paying user. The chance to keep my favourite videos for offline is awesome.
