Used it for years but now, since 720p downloads have been locked behind the 'pro' paywall, i have to downgrade the rating to 1 star. Disgraceful!

edit: What does it say about a shill criticizing people for their reviews of a product - based on their experience with said product - on the grounds that they don't know about similarly features (allegedly) missing in other products? If the dev 'knows' about the problem, then the dev should say so on the product's page and let people know he's working on it. Analogueshill, you can fcuk right off.

This used to be the BEST addon for youtube vids!
However, a few days ago, it just stopped working.
At first, I get a message that there was a temporary problem and it would be a couple of days to clear it up, but it's been more than that and no download and no explanation....
I'm so disappointed!

Have to pay now to download 720p videos or higher quality. And why does the extention ask for access to your data on all websites when you only have to use it on youtube?

I can no longer download videos in 720p let alone 1080p. I'm stuck with 360p if i don't want to pay.

Who wants to download 480p videos in 2024 ? This is now a USELESS extension and not fit for purpose.

I'm going to wait until July 1st to see if the dev adds back the 720p, if he keeps it locked behind a paywall I'm deleting this addon, there are plenty of free yt dl websites that allow you to copy paste & download the yt link, something Ive been doing for the past few days

720p got locked for everyone who doesnt pay

Has become a 'freemium' addon, removing features by inches. Anything better than 360p is now behind the paywall. True, Youtube now separates the video and audio files, which is annoying, but plenty of still-free options are capable of smushing them back together. I'm switching back to yt-dlp. EYtV Downloader was once wonderfully convenient, but now it's nearly useless without a 'Pro' account.
