   This Privacy Policy covers the DashVue eBay Fee Calculator Chrome Extension ("the Extension"), available on the Chrome Web Store.

The short version: The Extension collects no personal data whatsoever. All calculations happen entirely inside your browser. Nothing is sent to any server.

1. What the Extension Does
   The DashVue eBay Fee Calculator is a browser popup tool that calculates eBay selling fees for UK business sellers. You enter numbers (sale price, postage, category selection, etc.) and the Extension displays the calculated results instantly.
2. Data We Collect
   The Extension collects no personal data.

Specifically, the Extension does NOT:

Collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information
Access your eBay account or any other account
Read, access, or modify any web page you visit
Send any data to DashVue's servers or any third-party servers
Use cookies of any kind
Track your behaviour, location, or usage patterns
Access your browsing history
Communicate with any external server, API, or service
The only data stored by the Extension is:

Your preferred theme setting (light or dark mode), stored locally in your browser's extension storage using the browser's built-in localStorage API. This data never leaves your device.
4. Permissions
The Extension requests one permission: "tabs". This permission is required solely to open links (such as the DashVue website) in a new browser tab when you click them inside the Extension popup. It is not used to read, monitor, or access any tab content or browsing data.

No other permissions are requested or used.

1. Third-Party Services
   The Extension loads the Inter font from Google Fonts via a CSS link in the popup HTML. This is a standard web font request. When the Extension popup opens, your browser may make a request to fonts.googleapis.com to load the font file. This is subject to Google's own Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). No personal data from within the Extension is transmitted in this request — it is a standard font file download like any web page loading a font.

No other third-party services, scripts, analytics tools, or tracking libraries are included or referenced.

1. Data Storage
   The Extension stores one item locally on your device:

Name: dv-ext-theme
Type: localStorage string
Value: either "light" or "dark"
Purpose: Remembering your preferred colour scheme between sessions
Location: Stored only on your device inside Chrome's extension storage
Transmitted: Never
This data is automatically cleared if you uninstall the Extension or clear your browser's extension storage.

1. Children's Privacy
   The Extension does not collect data from any user, including children under the age of 13. As no data is collected at all, the Extension fully complies with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and equivalent UK legislation.
2. Changes to This Policy
   If the Extension is updated in a way that changes how data is handled, this Privacy Policy will be updated before the new version is published to the Chrome Web Store. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the date of any revision.

DashVue is committed to maintaining a zero-data-collection policy for this Extension. Any future version that would collect data would be disclosed clearly here and in the Chrome Web Store listing.
