About this extension
This extension makes empty HTML attributes visible by rendering them with explicit quotes (for example alt=""), instead of the simplified alt representation used in Firefox DevTools.
Exact Attributes Inspector enhances Firefox DevTools by showing HTML attributes exactly as they exist in the DOM.
Firefox DevTools visually simplifies empty attributes (for example alt="") and displays them as alt, which can be misleading during accessibility audits and debugging.
This extension solves that problem by making empty attributes explicitly visible and providing a dedicated Inspector sidebar that:
• Displays all attributes with their exact values
• Always shows empty attributes with quotes (e.g. alt="", title="", aria-label="")
• Clearly distinguishes between missing and empty attributes
• Renders full nested HTML markup of the selected element
• Uses a syntax-highlighted code view similar to Firefox Inspector
• Supports light mode, dark mode, and automatic theme detection
This tool is especially useful for:
• Accessibility audits (WCAG)
• Frontend debugging
• QA and code reviews
• Developers working with semantic HTML and ARIA
The extension does not modify the page or Firefox DevTools itself. It adds a separate panel with accurate attribute representation.
Simple. Precise. Developer-focused.
