  • Latest version

    Version 9.0.0

    Released Aug 27, 2026 - 579.21 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
Fixed: clearing a sender from the mailbox census now removes what the row
said it would. The count and the button were asking Gmail different
questions, so a sender listed with a few recent emails could clear nothing.

Fixed: your Never Delete list and protected keywords now apply to the
    sender census.

Fixed: the Storage X-ray no longer rounds small senders down to "at least
    0 MB".

Fixed: a Google Chat tab is no longer mistaken for your mailbox, which
made Run look like it did nothing.

New in Pro: the unsubscribe check now finds senders who kept mailing you
but landed in Spam, where an ordinary Gmail search cannot see them, and
senders who stopped and later started again.

    Version 8.26.0

    Released Aug 27, 2026 - 568.36 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
New: unsubscribe checks. Every unsubscribe is now dated. Once a sender has
had two weeks to act on it, Pro checks whether anything new arrived, and
the ones that ignored you can be cleared in one click.

New: a sender census. Finds who actually fills your mailbox by sampling
widely and then counting each sender with its own Gmail search, instead of
only looking for promotions and big attachments. The list is free.

Fixed: the Storage X-ray never looked below 5 MB, so it missed the small
mail most mailboxes are made of. It now reaches 100 KB, and the clear
    button underneath moved with it.

Fixed: a size written as a plain number of bytes is read as bytes, not
    megabytes.

Added: send a feature request from the Options page. It opens an email in
your own mail app. The extension still makes no network requests.

  • Version 8.25.0

    Released Aug 27, 2026 - 540.33 KB

  • Version 8.24.0

    Released Aug 24, 2026 - 530.26 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
Gmail stopped reporting how many conversations most searches match, so the
Mailbox Report was showing 50 next to steps holding thousands. Counts Gmail
will not total now read as 50+, and the headline says "at least" when it
    means at least.

Also fixed: suggestions no longer call every sender 100% unread, bulk delete
works on Traditional Chinese Gmail, and selecting everything now finds the
list on screen instead of one Gmail left behind.

  • Version 8.23.0

    Released Aug 23, 2026 - 526.43 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
Bulk cleanup now works in every language the cleaner supports. It could
only use Gmail's "select all conversations that match" offer in English,
German and French, so large cleanups elsewhere ran 50 at a time and
stopped early with most of the mail still there.

    Also fixed:
    - A subject line could be mistaken for Gmail's results counter, which is
what the "this will delete about N conversations" warning is based on.
    - Pressing Escape in the progress page's log filter cancelled the run.
    - A scheduled cleanup could pick up a Google Chat tab instead of your
    mailbox.
    - A preview run was reported as "0 emails moved to Trash".
    - Six things were unreadable in the light theme, including the "Show
guards" button and scheduled cleanup rows.

  • Version 8.20.0

    Released Aug 20, 2026 - 512.18 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
    Fixes:
    • In Review Mode, "Skip This Rule" now skips when you activate it with
the keyboard. It was cleaning the batch instead.
    • A scheduled run that skipped a rule for being too large no longer
      reports itself as finished.
    • An Auto-Pilot sweep that stops or fails is now recorded instead of
      vanishing from the panel.
    • Unsubscribes are saved as they happen, so closing the Gmail tab
      mid-run no longer loses them.
    • A sender you have already cleaned stops pushing itself to the top of
      your suggestions.
    • "Schedule removed" and "Log cleared" now only appear when the change
      actually went through.
    • The cleaner tells you when it cannot read your saved rules instead of
falling back to the built-in ones in silence.
    • The "Restore Default Rules?" confirmation and the Diagnostics tooltips
are readable in the light theme.

  • Version 8.19.0

    Released Aug 19, 2026 - 507.28 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
    Fixed:
    • Your three free unsubscribes are counted correctly now. They were counted
by the popup, which closes the moment you click anything else, so on most
      runs the count never moved.
    • Stopping an unsubscribe run part way no longer discards the senders it had
      already unsubscribed you from.
    • A rule that Gmail rate limits for too long is reported as unfinished
instead of finished, so a step is no longer marked cleared while mail is
      still sitting there.
    • Small text on coloured labels is readable in the light theme.

  • Version 8.17.0

    Released Aug 16, 2026 - 497.87 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
Three free unsubscribes, once per install, so you can watch bulk unsubscribe work on your own mail before paying for it. Spend them from the Lists tab or from a Smart Suggestions card. Only senders that actually unsubscribe count against them: a cancelled run, a failed one, or a sender that hands you to their own website costs you nothing.

  • Version 8.16.0

    Released Aug 13, 2026 - 494.33 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
    Mostly small fixes.
    • Stopping a cleanup part way no longer marks the work as finished. It used to tick the step off, mark senders as purged, and take the Run button away.
    • A rule that runs out of room now says so on the result screen and in the notification, not only in the progress log.
    • The number of emails a search found could be read off a subject line instead of Gmail's own counter. That number sizes every step of the Mailbox Report.
    • Settings could save an empty Never Delete list if reading your synced settings failed for a moment. It refuses now, and says why.
    • Traditional Chinese: cleanup could not find the Delete button, so runs stopped without doing anything.
    • Safe Mode now shields receipts in Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Polish, Turkish and Arabic.
    • Find in Gmail in the recovery log now finds the label the run made.
    • Pro: Auto-Pilot could switch itself off during a sweep, and opening Settings during a storage hiccup could reset four of your Pro settings.

  • Version 8.15.0

    Released Aug 12, 2026 - 477.59 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
    Mostly small fixes.

A cleanup now stops and tells you if your Never Delete list or your protected keywords cannot be read, instead of running without them.

A step in the Mailbox Report that was only partly cleared keeps its Run button, so a rescan that still finds mail there offers it again.

Runs that clean by sender, or clear old inbox mail, are now labelled Senders and Inbox in Gmail rather than Other. Runs that already had a label keep it.

With two Gmail accounts open, each progress window only follows its own. Clear stuck run no longer lets that window start a fresh cleanup on its own.

Pro: choosing 50 senders per Auto-Pilot sweep really clears 50, and Pro Settings warns before you close it with an unsaved change.

Also: days left to restore in the recovery log, a note that storage only frees up once Trash empties, a Protect button that knows who is already on your whitelist, and bulk unsubscribe no longer re-ticks senders it has finished.

  • Version 8.14.0

    Released Aug 11, 2026 - 467.84 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
Fixes and tidy-up. Nothing new to learn.
    • Importing a settings backup no longer drops entries quietly. The
confirmation counted what was in the file, but the extension stores at
most 100 whitelist entries, 50 rules per level and 25 protected
keywords, and it skips anything it cannot read. It now counts what will
actually be stored and spells out anything it will drop.
    • The recovery log stops trimming itself when it cannot check your key.
A brief storage failure was read as "no licence" and cut the log back
to 60 entries on the spot.
    • The daily stats cleanup can no longer erase a cleanup that finished
beside it, along with that run's entry in the Stats history.
    • Activating Pro now updates a Settings page you already have open, in
      both directions.
    • The Pro line on the completion notification waits a week between
showings and stops after three. It used to appear on every run.
    • Fixed the version announced to screen readers on the popup, and the
Pro summary now names all six paid features instead of three.

  • Version 8.13.0

    Released Aug 10, 2026 - 463.56 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
The Storage X-ray now lists every sender it ranked instead of the top three. One-click purge is still Pro.

Three new Pro settings: senders per Auto-Pilot sweep, an age floor for unattended runs, and how many entries the recovery log keeps. All default to what the last version did.

    Pro now has a 30-day money-back guarantee.

The rating prompt no longer goes quiet for 90 days after one dismissal. It never shows on a first run, and "Don't ask again" ends it for good.

On the free version, a finished cleanup's desktop notification now mentions Pro. Turning notifications off in Options stops it.

  • Version 8.12.0

    Released Aug 9, 2026 - 454.46 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
Fixed: cleanup rules could reach Trash and Spam through spellings the
safety check missed (label:trash, label:spam, in:anywhere). Those are
the only views where Gmail deletes permanently. Rules using them are
    now refused.

Fixed: on very large searches Gmail reports "of many" instead of a
number, so the large-run confirmation was sized against one page.
It now reads the real total from Gmail's own "Select all N" offer,
and asks before running when the size cannot be read at all.

Fixed: Safe Mode only recognised receipts and invoices written in
English. It now covers 11 languages.

Fixed: Never Delete, Protected Keywords and the rule lists silently
dropped entries past their limits while reporting a successful save.

Fixed: Enter could start a cleanup from any focused button, scheduled
runs that were skipped reported "nothing matched", and buyers briefly
saw Pro padlocks on every popup open.

New (Pro): Pro Settings. Choose the recovery label put on cleaned
mail, set the Auto-Pilot interval, and switch Smart Suggestions to a
deeper scan. Defaults are unchanged and nothing that was free moved
    behind it.

  • Version 8.11.0

    Released Aug 8, 2026 - 433.96 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
Bug-fix release, mostly on the paid features.
    • Apply selected no longer silently skips Unsubscribe suggestions; they get their own button instead of a checkbox bulk apply cannot honour.
    • The storage purge now says when it took only the first 25 of a larger selection, and both lists remember what you ticked, minus what already ran.
    • Auto-Pilot always sweeps the mailbox it measured, uses your own safety switches when counting suggestions, and no longer stalls for two hours if the Gmail tab closes mid-sweep.
    • Dry runs now say they were dry runs and stay out of the lifetime stats.
    • Safe Mode's receipt protection applies even when a rule has its own subject filter.
    • Settings now lists everything a Pro key unlocks, and stops pitching Pro to people who already bought it.

  • Version 8.10.0

    Released Aug 7, 2026 - 423.81 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
Fixes, mostly about numbers matching what a run actually does.

    • Auto-Pilot now only sweeps suggestions its own rule fits. A "large emails" or "unsubscribe" card is left for you instead of being archived wholesale, and the Clean tab says how many were left.
    • Mailbox Report steps whose search did not finish now say so, instead of vanishing and making that part of your mailbox look empty.
    • A custom rule can no longer target Google Chat history.
    • Archive runs no longer claim to have freed storage in the completion notification.
    • Changing a setting can no longer make a finished scheduled cleanup run a second time.
    • Protect no longer stops protecting senders past the limit without telling you.
    • Dry Run no longer counts the same email twice when rules overlap.
    • The per-rule Freed MB column on the progress page now shows real figures.

  • Version 8.9.0

    Released Aug 4, 2026 - 419.92 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
    New
    • What's new page: release notes for every version, inside the extension. Open it from the version number in the popup footer.
    • A goodbye page when you uninstall, mostly so Pro buyers know their lifetime key still works.

    Changed
    • Pro is now $9.99, down from $19.99. Existing keys are unaffected.

    Fixed
    • Archive runs said they had freed storage. Archived mail stays in All Mail and still counts against your quota, so no storage figure is reported for those runs now.
    • On some non-English Gmail interfaces, a bulk delete of thousands was recorded as about fifty. The mail was deleted correctly, but the receipt, statistics, undo entry and the limit that stops runaway runs were all sized against one page.
    • A mailbox report step whose search timed out showed as empty instead of "not measured".
    • A scheduled cleanup could undo schedule edits made while it was running.
    • Settings saved cleanup rules the extension refuses to run, under a success message.
    • Applying a suggestion said "applied" before anything had moved.

  • Version 8.8.0

    Released Aug 3, 2026 - 389.42 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
    Fixes:
    • Scheduled cleanups and Auto-Pilot stopped running on any Gmail tab that had already run once. They work again.
    • Purge on the Storage tab could archive instead of delete, so it freed no space.
    • A rule that needed more than one pass claimed it had given up, and counted itself more than once in your stats.
    • Applying several suggestions at once could search for fewer senders than you picked.
    • Rules aimed at Trash or Spam are now refused. Gmail deletes those permanently, so Undo and Restore could not help.
    • Whitelisted addresses containing "and" or "or", like sales.and.marketing@company.com, are now actually protected.
    • Maximum no longer runs the Normal rules on some setups.
    • The Apply checked button now says Archive when it archives.

  • Version 8.7.0

    Released Aug 2, 2026 - 386.19 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
Fixed: bulk apply now runs the action each suggestion card shows. An "Archive" card no longer sends mail to Trash.

Fixed: "Run the whole plan" no longer archives the large-attachment steps it lists in MB. It runs one kind of step per pass.

Fixed: choosing Maximum ran Normal unless you had saved the Settings page at least once.

Fixed: Dry Run could preview one page for a run that would clear thousands.

Fixed: the mailbox report counted a timed-out search as zero, and scans no longer hide their own "this list is incomplete" warning.

Fixed: the report now tells you when your safety switches have changed since the scan, and when Safe Mode is skipping a step.

Fixed: Protect now refuses a sender it cannot actually protect instead of reporting success.

Fixed: a sender could aim your unsubscribe at a different mailing list by starting its address with a dash.

Fixed: Auto-Pilot could act on a scan you started yourself, and could stop working entirely on a stale licence copy.

Changed: the safety line under Run no longer says unread mail is "never" touched. It is skipped while that switch is on.

  • Version 8.6.0

    Released Aug 1, 2026 - 373.71 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
Fixed: a suggestion could be sold on exactly the mail its own button
refused to touch. A card reading "402 emails, 100% unread" then cleaned
nothing, every time. Suggestions are now measured through the same
safety switches the button applies, so the number beside a button is
the number that button will act on. Senders your switches hold back
entirely are no longer suggested, and the list says how many, which
switches did it, and takes you to them.

Fixed: checking more than 25 suggestions quietly cleaned only 25 while
saying it was cleaning all of them.

Fixed: the unsubscribe scan said it "lists every sender that mails you".
It samples your last year of mail. It now says so.

Fixed: the report's upgrade line added up steps that overlap, counting
the same email more than once.

Fixed: your Pro key survives an update. It is stored in two places now
and repairs whichever copy goes missing.

Added: a privacy policy link in the popup and on the settings page.

  • Version 8.0.0

    Released Aug 1, 2026 - 343.15 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
New: Mailbox Report. One read-only scan counts what is actually in your mailbox and turns it into a ranked cleanup plan: old promotions, big attachments, forgotten newsletters, mail that has sat in your Inbox for years. The whole report is free, and so is running its biggest step. Pro clears the rest, or runs the whole plan in one pass.

New: when a run finishes, the progress page now tells you what it did. The count, the labels it applied, how long Trash keeps the mail, and a link straight to the Recovery Log.

Fixed: the Recovery Log wrote an entry per pass and kept only 20, so a big first cleanup could push out its own entries. It now records one entry per rule per run and keeps 60.

Fixed: the confirmation for a very large run appeared in the Gmail tab, which the extension had just moved behind the progress page. It now appears where you are looking, defaults to stopping, and stops the run if nothing answers.

Fixed: the rating button sent Firefox users to the Chrome Web Store.

Also: a redesigned popup, and Pro is now visible before you scan instead of only after you buy it.

No new permissions in this version.

  • Version 7.15.0

    Released Jul 30, 2026 - 301 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
Safety and language fixes, no new features.
    • Scheduled cleanups now respect your Global Whitelist (Never Delete). They were reading an empty list, so a schedule could delete mail from a sender you had protected.
    • Custom rules now follow the Action you gave them. A rule set to "Archive" or "Label only" was being run as a delete.
    • Large-batch protections work outside English. The warnings and confirmations for very large runs were reading Gmail's English text, so on other languages they measured one page instead of the whole match. Big bulk deletes also failed to complete on non-English Gmail and now finish properly.
    • A whitelist entry like *@example.com now protects that whole domain. It was passed to Gmail as written and matched nothing.
    • "Restore defaults" no longer clears your whitelist and protected keywords. It only replaces rules, which is all it ever said it would do.
    • Auto-Pilot only acts on its own scan, and checks vacation mode before it runs.
    • Cancel is now honoured right up to the moment mail moves during a restore or an unsubscribe.
    • Rules that target starred, sent or important mail are refused wherever you enter them.
    • Privacy: the run summary that syncs between your browsers no longer includes the search text, which for a storage or suggestions run contained sender addresses from your mailbox.

  • Version 7.14.2

    Released Jul 29, 2026 - 292.73 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
A fix-only release. No new features. No new permissions.

Minimum Age works now. Set "older than 1 year" and a run respects it, even where a rule asks for less. It used to be skipped on every built-in rule set, so the setting did nothing at all.

The warnings for very large runs fire when they should. When Gmail selects every conversation matching a search it acts on all of them, but the cleaner was counting only the page on screen, which meant a sweep of tens of thousands could start with no prompt at all and Dry Run previewed a few dozen instead of the real figure.

Cancel stops a run right up to the moment mail moves. Before, cancelling during tagging or at a confirmation let that batch through; the run then called itself finished.

Brackets no longer defeat the guards: a custom rule like (is:starred) used to slip past the starred and sent-mail protections.

A scheduled run that fails to start no longer locks the cleaner (it held that lock for two hours).

Smaller ones. Diagnostics listed archive runs as deletions. The progress tab kept retrying a run that had already finished, and reconnecting during a Storage clean-up could restart a different job. The Save button on Options got stuck reading "Saving...".
