Data We Access
Web History (URLs)
The extension observes URLs of pages you navigate to in order to determine whether they match your personal blocklist. This check happens entirely in memory within the browser. URLs are:
Never stored beyond the current browser session
Never transmitted to any external server
Never shared with third parties
Blocklist Domains
The list of domains you choose to block is stored locally on your device using chrome.storage.local. This list contains only domain strings (e.g., example.com) — no browsing history, timestamps, or personal information.
Native Messaging
The extension communicates with the Grounded companion desktop application installed on your computer using Chrome's Native Messaging API. This communication is strictly local (browser ↔ desktop app on the same machine) and is used solely to synchronize your blocklist. No data is sent to any remote server.
Data We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:
Personally identifiable information (name, email, address, age)
Health, financial, or authentication information
Personal communications
Location data
Keystroke, click, or mouse activity
Website content (text, images, media)
Browsing history or analytics
Third-Party Services
The extension does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer any user data to third parties.
