- Rated 5 out of 5by suijurisdeigratia, 9 years agoI've been an FVD user for years but it was time to switch my dial add-on that is compatible with the new multiprocess functionality in Firefox. Firefox 57 compatibility is also a big plus at this stage in development. This dial add-on has it all. It's smooth, fast, and offers the ability to layer dials which is really nice. The cloud sync is also great and works well. I'm using it in both Firefox and Chrome across multiple windows operating systems (7 and 10). My only suggestion is to add the ability for the Main Group bar at the top to wrap as when I had a huge list of groups it wasn't able to wrap to a new line. Keep up the great work!

Has some issues with generating thumbnails on some pages, but the 'refresh by visiting page' option is a decent workaround. Took me a while to figure out that I can change the number of rows/columns by right-clicking the tab at the top. I feel like it should ask how many to make the first time the page is opened.
I can set a thumbnail with a file, but not a URL. I'd imagine this would be easy to add. The speed dial plugin I was using before also allowed thumbnails to auto- refresh after X hours/days, this does not appear to.Developer response
posted 9 years agoHello,
Thank you for the feedback!
It's helping me to get better.
Next version will enable user to change default dimension on first initialization.
I've add some FAQ in description.
Support for thumbnails from URL is planned in next few weeks.
Sadly background auto-reload is currently not possible with the new Web-extension API.
Thanks again and have a nice day.
Best regards,

I found your extension the most suitable speed dial out there (for Firefox). However I've some requests in possible:
1. Actually you make use of a fixed grid layout. Please support instead a totally fluid layout with no empty boxes and adaptable dials.
2. I don't know if it's a WebExtension API limitation, but a clean addressbar should absolutely be a must IMHO
3. option to not show any title on dials
4. let user change the thumbnail with what he want
Thanks in advanceDeveloper response
posted 9 years agoHi,
New version 3.4 was released yesterday. You can now hide empty dials (in options), hide title on all dials (in options), setup custom thumbnail pictures (in edit popup).
Regarding addressbar there is a bug in Firefox that should be fixed, until then you can use Ctrl + L shortcut to focus adressbar and start writing...
If you have more ideas or feature request, let me know on my support e-mail.
Thanks for the input and have a nice day.
Best regards,
