Effective date: September 1, 2026
iClicker Alert does not collect or transmit personal data to the extension developer or another external service.
To detect live events, the extension examines visible interface state on open pages at https://student.iclicker.com/. This includes status indicators needed to determine whether a class is active, a question is open or has changed, polling is active, or results are visible.
The extension reduces this interface state to temporary status values and one-way fingerprints used to compare the current page state with the previous state. Question and answer text is not written to extension storage.
Firefox local extension storage may contain:

- Master and per-event volume settings
- The selected sound for each event
- User-edited notification titles and messages
- Foreground-tab and notification-click preferences
- One optional user-imported OGG, MP3, or WAV sound
This information is stored with

Normal activity performed by the iClicker website, Firefox, Mozilla Add-ons, and the operating system is outside the extension developer's control and may be governed by their own policies.
