Privacy Policy
LinkedIn Unfiltered does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to the developer.
What the extension stores locally
API keys are saved in chrome.storage.local on your device. These are only sent to the AI provider you explicitly configure (such as Mistral or OpenAI). They are never sent anywhere else.
Settings such as your personality preference, auto-translate toggle, dwell time, and "show useful takeaways" preference are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted.
What leaves your device
When you click "Unfilter" (or when auto-translate is triggered), the text of the LinkedIn post you selected is sent to the AI provider you configured. This is required for the extension to work.
When you translate a post, an anonymous +1 is sent to https://api.kjhq.dev/linkedin/count. No post text, account information, or identifying data is included. This feature is optional and can be disabled at any time in the extension popup.
On first use, the extension downloads a list of available AI models from https://models.dev/api.json to populate the provider selection. No personal data is included in this request.
What is never collected
No telemetry or analytics
No usage statistics
No cookies
No browsing history
No LinkedIn profile data
No personally identifying information
Nothing is logged, tracked, or sold.
Third parties
The extension itself does not use any third-party libraries or frameworks.
The only external services involved are:
- Your configured AI provider, which receives the LinkedIn post text you choose to process. This is necessary for the extension to function.
- models.dev, which provides a public list of available AI models. No personal data is sent.
Changes
If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be published here and in the extension's listing.
