Create boards and categories without leaving the browser.

Until now, saving a link somewhere new meant pausing, opening Linksley,
making the board or category there, and coming back. You can now create
both in place — from the toolbar popup, the Ctrl/Cmd+D save panel, the new
tab, and the bookmarks drawer. A brand-new board asks for its first
category straight away, so you're never left on an empty one.

    Bookmarks drawer
    • Wider by default, and you can drag its right edge to resize. The width is
    remembered.
    • Link titles are no longer clipped — the hover actions float over the row
instead of taking space from the name.
    • Categories have their own controls: add a link, rename, delete.
    • Boards can be opened in Linksley, renamed, duplicated or deleted from
the header. Duplicating copies categories and links; the copy starts
    private.
    • Section headers can create a board, not just a folder.

    New tab
    • One control per link on hover instead of two. Copy moved inside the edit
    form, alongside Delete, as icons.
    • "+ Add link" and "+ Add category" now appear on hover without turning on
edit mode, and don't shift the page when they do.
    • The boards dropdown can create a new board.

    Fixes
    • Typing in a Linksley panel no longer triggers the underlying page's
keyboard shortcuts. On YouTube, typing a title used to pause, mute, seek
    and toggle fullscreen.
    • Opening a session from the new tab's drawer and then closing the drawer
left the session view stranded on screen. It closes with the drawer now.
    • Escape works the first time after viewing a session or dismissing a
    dialog.
    • Signed out? Every place that needed it now has a working sign-in button,
instead of asking you to find the toolbar icon.
    • Network errors offer a retry, and cached boards are labelled as such
when you're offline, rather than looking live.
    • An expired session now says so instead of failing every edit silently.

    Released Aug 30, 2026 - 151.64 KB
Works with firefox 118.0 and later
    Ctrl+D now works everywhere.
It used to be ignored on pages where your cursor sat inside an embedded editor — Google Docs, admin panels, sign-in widgets — and the browser's own bookmark dialog appeared instead. That's fixed: the shortcut is caught wherever you are on the page. Pages the browser reserves (its own settings, the Web Store, the PDF viewer) still use the native dialog, as they must.

Save the bookmarks you make with the browser's star.
Turn it on in the popup's settings and anything you star with the browser lands on a private Unsorted board, ready to file properly later. Off by default. It only picks up bookmarks you make — imports, restores and Linksley's own folder are ignored, and your existing boards are never touched.

Open a saved session as one window.
Every tab from a saved window now reopens together in a single new browser window, instead of scattering into whatever you already had open.

The side rail's tab just opens and closes the rail.
It used to open linksley.com when you clicked it, which caught people out. The link to the site is still there, at the foot of the rail where it reads as one. The tab is also easier to pick out against a busy page.

  • Version 0.4.1

Works with firefox 118.0 and later
    What's new in 0.4.1

    • Sessions: save any window as a tab session and restore it anywhere — with an optional, opt-in auto-saved snapshot of your whole browser for crash recovery.
    • Smarter saving: Cmd/Ctrl+D now suggests the right board with AI and warns you if you've already saved the page.
    • Bookmark-bar manager: organize your bookmark bar from the Linksley drawer, mirror a board to it, or rebuild it on a new machine.
    • Hover previews: see a screenshot of a link before you click it.
    • Search everywhere: find links, boards and sessions from any page via the launcher.
    • Sign in with Google or Microsoft — including a passwordless connect flow for the extension.
    • Polish and reliability: cleaner icons, safer URL handling, and better error recovery.
