Luminar evaluates page readability locally in the browser to decide whether to show summarization controls. Nothing is transmitted until you trigger a digest.

When you trigger a digest, Luminar sends the page's main readable text or YouTube transcript, plus source URL/title context and related video metadata when available, to the Luminar backend at https://useluminar.com to generate the digest and PDF.

Luminar stores an anonymous per-device identifier and local usage count for rate limiting. We do not sell this data and do not use it for cross-site advertising or tracking.
