- Summary
Link Grabber is a productivity tool that helps you collect, review, filter, and export links from web pages. It runs only when you use it. We do not sell your personal data. - What the extension accesses
To provide its core features, Link Grabber may access: - Website content — links and related text on pages you choose to process (selection, full page, or text extraction).
- Browsing activity — page URLs and tab titles for tabs you include in a workflow (for example multi-tab collection, copy open tabs, or crawler seed pages). Processing happens to complete the action you requested and collect analytics to improve stability on most frequently used sites.
- Bookmarks information — only when you choose an export/action that saves links to bookmarks.
Most processing happens locally in your browser. Link Grabber does not read your browsing history outside the pages/tabs involved in an action you start.
- What is stored on your device
The extension uses browser storage (local and sync where available) to keep: - your settings and preferences
- collected link results while you work with them
- a random analytics client ID (if analytics is enabled)
We do not store your full browsing history inside the extension.
- Third-party services
We use limited third-party services:
Google Analytics 4 (Google)
- Purpose: product analytics (feature usage, errors, install/uninstall trends)
- Data that may be sent: event names, interaction counts, anonymous client/session identifiers, and in some events the page URL related to the action you performed (for example the page from which links were extracted)
- We do not send page content, extracted link lists, or bookmark contents to Google Analytics
- Google's privacy information: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Our website (link-grabber.com)
- If you open help, blog, or support pages from the extension, normal website privacy rules apply (see full policy on the site)
- What we do NOT do
Based on our product design and recent compliance updates: - We do not send browser notifications for ads or promotions
- We do not cross-promote other extensions inside Link Grabber
- We do not prompt you to leave store reviews from inside the extension
- We do not send messages on your behalf (email, social posts, etc.)
- We do not hijack browsing, inject unrelated ads, or collect data unrelated to link-processing workflows
- We do not sell personal data
- Permissions (why the extension requests them)
- tabs — read tab URLs/titles for multi-tab and copy-tabs workflows; open links when you ask
- bookmarks — save links to bookmarks when you choose that action
- storage — save settings and working results
- scripting / host access — run on pages you process so you can select and extract links
- contextMenus — optional actions from the page context menu
- Firefox-specific notes
- Chrome Reading List export is not available in the Firefox build.
- Link Crawler and bulk open actions run only after you start them and within limits you set.
- In-app payment/monetization components are not included in the Firefox release build at this time.
- Data retention
- Settings and local working data remain on your device until you clear extension storage or uninstall.
- Analytics data retained by Google is governed by Google's policies and our GA4 configuration.
- On uninstall, an anonymous client identifier may be passed once to our uninstall feedback page URL (no page content).
- Your choices
- You can stop using features you do not need.
- You can uninstall the extension at any time (about:addons), which removes locally stored extension data.
