Mortality replaces every new tab with a live counter of your age—a quiet memento mori designed to be read at a glance. It keeps time visible without turning it into a score, a streak, or an alarm.

Choose the view that feels useful:
- fractional or calendar age
- countdown to your next birthday
- days or weeks lived
- estimated years, days, or weeks remaining
- lifetime progress and a life-in-weeks view

Make the page your own with carefully designed themes, custom colors, and numeral styles. The interface is available in 55 languages and supports keyboard use, screen readers, reduced motion, and contrast-checked themes.

Remaining-life views are actuarial estimates, not predictions. Use United Nations 2023 country-and-sex life tables, United States Social Security Administration 2023 data, or set a custom life expectancy.

Your birth details and preferences stay in browser storage by default. Browser-account sync is optional and only turns on when you explicitly enable it. Mortality requires no account and has no ads, analytics, tracking, or backend service.
