WHAT IT DOES

• Watch in the side panel — Click any video from search results or Top 50 to play it inside the panel. No tab switching, instant playback.

• In-panel YouTube search — Search YouTube directly from the side panel and watch results in the embedded player. 10 free searches on day 1 of the weekly cycle (decays to 5/day, resets weekly). Unlimited with your own free YouTube API key.

• Real-time ranking — Open any YouTube video and see its current position in the Top 50 trending of any country. Compares against 25 regions × 14 categories.

• Viral score & momentum — Composite score from views, likes, comments and recent velocity (last 48 hours). Spot what's accelerating before it peaks.

• Auto-detect region — Smart fallback: channel.country → title language → defaultAudioLanguage. The right country is picked even when the creator doesn't tag it.

• Cross-source play/pause — When you play in the built-in player, YouTube tabs pause. When you play in a YouTube tab, the built-in pauses. No double audio.

• Live and restricted videos — Live broadcasts (sports, streams) and restricted videos open in a YouTube tab automatically with a clear badge.

• Top 50 dashboard — Browse trending of any region/category, fully collapsible to focus on the video being analyzed.

• Community Spotlight — Featured creator video that rotates in the panel. Submit your own video (free or paid) at nodus-ai.app/yt-radar.

PRIVACY

Local-first by design. No NODUS account. Your own API key (if used) stays in chrome.storage.local — never sent to our servers. The Cloudflare Worker only proxies YouTube Data API calls so our team's key never leaves the server.
