by Alex, 2 years agoI had the old extension (now called "desktop app ver.") and it worked just fine until I tried this one. Autofill is not working now on either the old or the new version.
Update: I read other reviews and discovered the incompatibility with DarkReader, so I solved the problem, but one question remains. What is the difference between this and the old app? Why should I download a new extension?
Response to developers: First and foremost, thank you for your prompt response. Secondly, I am not a programmer and had to research to understand what Manifest V3 is, so please forgive my ignorance. I will improve the rating because I appreciate the development efforts.

posted 2 years agoHi Alex, thank you for the feedback. The difference of the apps is huge in terms of the technology. The new add-on is a stand-alone app which you can use without the desktop app which was not the case previously. Also the new one is built in compliance with the new Manifest v3 requirements which makes add-ons safer, more efficient, and better for your privacy. Unfortunately for developers it means that the add-on must be rebuilt almost from scratch and that's what we did recently. We are sorry for the inconvenience while we tirelessly try to improve the app every day. We believe that the new app if not today then very soon will bring way better experience than the old one.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Dangme, a month agoInstalled this to test for a replacement for my current and very expensive 1Password.
Issues: Any time an email entry presents on a webpage, NordPass' box pops up directly under the email entry section. There is no way to move this box, even if it is covering selections below (perhaps you have 3 different email accounts that you would normally select from).
Issue: For new password entry, it presents a random password to fill in and use. This window allows for autofill and expected functions as well as a "copy" button to copy the password it has suggested. The copy button doesn't work. Had I not been paying careful attention, I would have locked myself out by assuming the password I was pasting elsewhere (solely for purposes of testing nordpass).
These two issues tell me that Nordpass is simply not ready for release to public.
I'll keep looking for my 1Password replacement.Developer response
