OrigEU — EU Origin by Diogo Loureiro

OrigEU shows the origin of every product — EU, EFTA, or another country — right while you're shopping online at a Portuguese supermarket.

The extension adds a small origin badge to each product, both on the search/listing page and on the product page itself, so you know where a brand comes from without leaving the supermarket's site.

WHAT THE ORIGIN BADGES MEAN
🇪🇺 OrigEU ❤ Portugal — the brand is from a European Union country (Made in EU)
🤝 OrigEU 🇳🇴 (EFTA) — Switzerland, Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein: not EU, but closely tied to it
🌍 OrigEU United States — the brand is from another country, outside the EU and EFTA
❓ OrigEU Unknown Origin — the brand isn't in the database yet; you can suggest its origin directly from the badge, without leaving the page

Click an origin badge for its source, when one has been recorded. On a product page, the origin badge is bigger and impossible to miss. The toolbar icon lets you show or hide badges, or switch between the full-text style (brand + country of origin) and a compact flag-only look.

HONEST LIMITATIONS
This is a personal project, not an official origin certification. Origin data is brand-level, not per individual product, it's only as complete as what's already been entered into the database, and a brand's general country of origin can occasionally miss a regional or local licensing exception. Treat the badge as a helpful nudge toward a more informed choice, not a guarantee — and if you spot an origin that's wrong or missing, the badge itself has a link to suggest a correction.

PRIVACY
No data collection, no analytics, no ads, no account or sign-in. The product name you see at the supermarket is read and matched against the origin database locally, inside your browser — it's never sent anywhere. The only network traffic is the public, anonymous download of the brand and country database, and — only if you choose to use the suggestion form — whatever you type into it.
