posted a year agoHi,
Thank you for your review and feedback!
You can access PhotoShow’s settings by clicking its icon in your browser’s extension dock (usually next to the address bar). If it’s not visible, it may be hidden by default.
Here are the options available to customize PhotoShow to fit your needs:
Default Mode: PhotoShow is enabled and you can manually disable it for specific sites. Simply click the main toggle button in the settings popup to add the current site to the block list.
Whitelist Mode: This turns PhotoShow off on all sites by default, allowing you to enable it only on selected sites (adding to the whitelist).
You can add or remove sites from either the whitelist or block list anytime using the toggle button or a custom hotkey (Alt + P by default) set in your browser’s extension management page.
Quiet Mode: When using the toggle button, you’ll see an option to run PhotoShow in "Quiet Mode," where the image viewer is disabled, but other features like copying or opening HD images in a new tab via hotkeys or context menu items remain active.
Activation Mode: You can also configure PhotoShow to display the viewer only when needed by using an assistant key. This setting is available under "Activation Mode."
Please note that PhotoShow currently doesn’t provide a centralized view of all sites in the whitelist or block list—this feature is planned for future updates. In the meantime, you’ll need to toggle these site-specific settings while visiting a site.
If you have any further questions, feel free to comment here or reach out via email.
Cheers!

- Rated 5 out of 5by lol, 4 months ago
- Rated 3 out of 5by Korwin, 4 months agoThe extension adds a pop-up with a larger image (disappears as soon as the cursor stops pointing at the thumbnail) and a context menu with the following options: "Open HD image in new tab (Tab)", "Save HD image (S)", "Copy HD image (Alt + C)" and "Copy HD image address (C)" (can be disabled). Additionally, there is the option to display full-size image details, save with one click, and rotate/mirror.
Cons: In Mozilla Firefox 146, some keystrokes are not intercepted by the extension, but are used for quick search on the page. Half of the issues in the bugtracker are in hieroglyphs.Developer response
posted 4 months agoHi there, and thank you for your feedback!
PhotoShow only intercepts its shortcut keys when doing so won’t interfere with the page’s native interactions. This means that if a focused interactive element with its own key actions (such as a text input) is active (focused), PhotoShow will NOT intercept those keystrokes — even if the image viewer is currently visible. (Just a note: hovering the mouse over an image usually doesn’t change the page’s focus.) Native page interactions always take priority.
If this doesn’t fully clarify the issue, feel free to report it via GitHub or email. Cheers! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18642173, 4 months ago
