Changing keyboard shortcuts in Settings is now much more reliable in Firefox.
The Save mode page displays more clearly that the Suggested folder pre-selected is just that, and that typing immediately launches a search for bookmark folder to save a tab into a bookmark.
Further under-the-hood improvements for the new engine and design to work more uniformly across the extension.

Changelog, v10.8:
This release rebuilds the interface on top of the same search and bookmarking engine. QBF does what it always did; it is simpler to look at and simpler to reach.

· One list, one job:
The window used to show several panes at once. Now each mode owns the whole space: Save shows your folders, Find shows results, Tabs shows your open tabs, History shows where you have been.

· Every gesture has a key:
Gestures that depended on how long you held the mouse down are gone. Each one now has a key and a menu entry that says what it does:
Holding a folder to open it is now Return, or a double-click.
Holding an expander to fold a whole branch is now Option-Left and Option-Right, or Option-click.

· Deep folder paths read properly:
A deep path used to squeeze every folder name down to two letters. Now the path shows a “…” for the folders it has hidden and gives the space to the names you can still read. The folder you actually chose is never the one that gets shortened. Click the “…” to see the rest.

· Smaller things:
Saving with Return closes the window a moment later. Undo still works for ten minutes afterwards.
Text sizes, contrast and spacing follow the system.
The whole interface is drawn from one stylesheet instead of two that had drifted apart.

This is a design release.
QBF does the same things it did before — it just reads better and is easier to hit.

· Easier to read:
Text is larger. The smallest text in the window went from 9px to 11px.
There are now four text sizes instead of thirteen. Everything of the same importance is now the same size.
Grey text is darker, so it is readable in normal light. Nothing is faded any more.
Folder paths are one size in two shades, instead of three sizes in three colours.

· Easier to use:
Rows are taller, so they are easier to click.
When you search, the matching letters are shown in bold instead of on a dark background. The old highlight made the text harder to read, not easier.

· New in Settings:
QBF can now follow your system’s light/dark setting and switch with it.
You can choose how corners look: square, rounded, or pill-shaped.

· Fixed:
In some environments, the folder tree was stuck at about two rows tall. It now fills the space it is given.
The toolbar did not shrink when you switched between Save, Find, Tabs and History. It now does.

· Find mode — click+drag-to-browse:
Fixed a race where a scoped folder search could be overwritten by a stale global render; scoped search no longer leaks sibling folders whose names share a prefix; drag of a result row no longer triggers the folder-browse hold timer; browsing into an empty folder now shows the (empty) BROWSING panel instead of doing nothing; stuck drags are cleaned up if the mouse button was released outside the window.

· Find mode — drag-bar resizing:
Window resize now rebalances the results/tree split correctly in Find mode; a user’s manual split adjustment is respected afterwards instead of being overwritten; tree section can be enlarged as well as shrunk; all five resize handles recover cleanly if the mouse button is released outside the window.

· Save mode — multi-location save:
Saving one URL to several folders now reports partial failures honestly (“Saved to X of N folders”), skips redundant creates in the folder where the bookmark already exists (“(1 skipped)”), credits recent-location history for every target folder, and no longer bundles unrelated ctrl-selected folders into a tree drag.

· Quick Save popup — multi-tab / multi-folder save:
The save button label and the actual save result now always agree (“Save N tab(s) to M folders (K skipped)”); duplicates are skipped per (URL, folder) pair; Esc first clears extra target folders before deselecting the primary; duplicate indicators refresh after saving with “hold to stay open”.

· Save mode — multi-tab save:
Per-tab error handling (“Saved X (Y skipped, Z failed)”), duplicate URLs within one batch are saved once, Esc can cancel a staged tab batch, and several stale-state edge cases around keep-open saves were fixed.

• 'Esc' is now more predictable:
  Pressing Escape always backs you out one step — close a dialog, cancel what you're doing, clear the search, hide results, deselect a folder — and only closes the window when there's nothing left to back out of. Backing out can no longer accidentally close the window. The Help dialog now spells out exactly what Esc does, in order.
• Animations: a simpler way to set the feel.
  The Delays settings now start with a single "Timing profile" — Snappy, Standard, or Relaxed — instead of a wall of millisecond boxes. The raw values are still there under "Fine-tune (advanced)" if you want them. Standard matches the current defaults, so nothing changes unless you choose otherwise.
• Hold gestures are signposted:

Rounded ↔ Rectangular:
– Full final visual sweep: every remaining hardcoded corner radius now respects the Settings → Appearance "Rounded ↔ Rectangular" toggle. The toggle now applies to the Quick modes as well.

Bugs squashed:
– The Save button in Settings no longer appears active when you haven't changed anything. It greys out properly until you actually modify a setting.
– Clicking the last folder in a search result's path now takes you to that exact folder in the tree (not its parent), smoothly scrolling it into view and expanding it.

– The Settings dialog auto-resizes when you toggle between Simple and Advanced modes, or expand/collapse sections. Double-click the bottom edge of Settings to snap it back to the natural height if it ever gets out of shape.
– The Quicktab keyboard shortcut now appears in Settings alongside the other window shortcuts.
– The Rounded/Rectangular corner style now applies to every single UI element — buttons, tags, badges, tree items, search inputs, everything.

Quick popup upgrades:
– The "+" button now sits to the left of the QS/QT pill, so toggling between panes doesn't shift the pill around.
– Open Tabs and Recently Closed groups in Quicktab are now collapsed by default — click to expand, or just start typing to search (groups auto-expand for matches).
– Hold the Save button in Quick Save to save without closing the popup — handy for filing several tabs to the same folder in quick succession.
– Press Alt+1 / Alt+2 / Alt+3 (shown as badges when you hold Alt or Cmd) to instantly switch between QS, QT, and QBF. These shortcuts are fully customizable in Settings → Keyboard Shortcuts.

New in Find mode:
– Cmd+click (Mac) / Ctrl+click (Windows) individual bookmarks in search results to build a multi-selection. Then double-click or press Enter to open them all at once in new tabs, or Shift+double-click / Shift+Enter to open them in a new window.
– Bookmarks and folders can't be mixed in a multi-selection — you'll see a friendly message if you try. :)

· Hello, Quicktab!
QuickTab joins QuickSave. QT searches all open tabs and recently closed ones. Enter switches to a tab, Ctrl+Enter moves it to a new window, Delete closes it. QS and QT now live inside the same Quick dialog, separate from QBF, for quick actions with tabs inside the web browser.

· QS path bar and results fixed:
The path bar no longer collapses when chips or results expand. Results now show three full rows by default instead of one and a half.

· Clicking a result path now opens the folder.
Before, clicking a path segment navigated to the folder row but left it collapsed. Now it opens and shows its contents immediately.

· Blank Folders dialog overhaul:
Non-empty default-named folders can now be included (toggle inside the dialog) — they show content counts, dashed-border delete buttons, and a Library button. Deleting folders with contents requires a second confirmation listing exactly what will go.

· Cleanup tools no longer close Settings:
Duplicate URLs and Blank Folders now stack above the Settings dialog instead of dismissing it.

· Snapshots:
Controls are now right-aligned. A new "Save to disk" toggle writes each snapshot to your downloads folder. When "Include settings" is on, the single HTML file contains both your bookmarks and –QBF settings — import either or both from one file.

· Enter-to-save is now explicit:
Two new Keyboard Shortcuts toggles: QS Enter saves immediately (default on) and QBF Enter selects first (default on, existing two-step behavior). Flip either to change how Enter commits a save.

· UI corner style:
New Appearance setting: Rounded (default) or Rectangular (subtler corners across chips, mode pills, and inputs).

· Tree auto-fit:
The folder tree in Save mode now expands to fill available height automatically. Double-clicking the resize handle snaps to the same size. Toggle in Appearance if you prefer manual control.
Mode emojis stay where you put them. Flipping Simple ↔ Verbose no longer overwrites a mode-emoji setting you changed manually.

· Small fixes:
Section headers (Recent, Quick Links) no longer text-select on double-click. The Drop-to-Remove chip overlay no longer gets stuck after an aborted drag.
