Privacy Policy – Smart Form Autofill

Overview

Smart Form Autofill is a privacy-first browser extension designed to help users fill web forms quickly using locally stored data. We do not collect, track, or sell any personal information.



Data Storage

All user data is stored locally on the user's device using the browser's secure extension storage (browser.storage.local).

• No data is stored on external servers by default
• No analytics or tracking mechanisms are used
• No third-party sharing

Secure & Isolated Storage

Your data is protected by the browser’s built-in security model:

• Websites cannot access or read your stored data
• The extension runs in an isolated environment separate from webpage scripts
• Even if a website is compromised, it cannot access extension storage

User-Controlled Data Flow

• Data is saved only when the user clicks "Save Changes"
• Autofill occurs only when the user clicks "Autofill Current Tab"
• No automatic data collection is performed

Sensitive Data Protection

The extension does NOT store or process sensitive information such as:

• Passwords
• OTP / 2FA codes
• Credit card or banking details

Such fields are automatically ignored.



AI Feature (Optional)

• AI autofill is disabled by default
• When enabled, only non-sensitive, filtered data is sent to a secure backend
• The backend is stateless and does not store or log user data
• No data is used for training AI models

Permissions Usage

Permissions are used only to:

• Detect and autofill form fields
• Store user data locally
• Access the active tab when triggered by the user

User Control

Users can:

• Add, edit, or delete stored data
• Disable AI features
• Remove all data by uninstalling the extension
