Auch beim Download-Helper spürt man deutlich, dass es um Sinn und Nutzerfreundlichkeit geht, ohne verzerrende Profit-Interessen... "Organische Schenk-Ökonomie", wofür ja meines Wissens Mozilla zentral steht - und wovon wir ganz viel brauchen, um unsere Welt zu heilen bzw. vor dem Verheizen zu bewahren... (Ist auch mein Herzens- und Lebens-Anliegen...)
Ich würde ein Mozilla-Produkt auch dann bevorzugen, wenn andere Produkte in Details besser wären -- aber ich hab auch noch kein vergleichbares besseres Produkt gefunden als den Download-Helper...

One of the better video downloaders out there. It works, and it works well. It will download content on many sites without the companion app installed, but some sites are little trickier to download content from. For those, there's an optional companion app, which helps facilitate the process. I installed the companion app, and it indeed restores functionality on some sites. I was a bit leery about the additional software so I scanned it with my anti-virus software and MalwareBytes - the optional companion app seems to be legit (no red flags so to speak) and it works.
