- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13285384, 8 years agoI've been using an add-on called Video Downloader Help for quite a while now and I thought it might be helpful to let others out there in cyberland know what an invaluable asset it's been to me. All my previous Video download tools persistently let me down and caused me no end of frustration. This little bag of tricks always seemed to be on my side in heliping to avoid all the technical and procedural mishaps that can occcur when downloading.
What I always find especially reassuring is the way the very convenient interface allows you to pick and select your preferred formats and quality of playback in custom-mode, as well as a facility for monitoring the rate of progress of your download. Thoroughly recommended as an Add-on For Everybody. - Rated 1 out of 5by skip, 8 years agoScrew this addon for forced conversion of videos in order to add that stupid ugly ass QR code in them. My CPU overheated because of the conversion load and my notebook restarted because of that. As a result I lost some data I was working on.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14457459, 8 years agoVideo DownloadHelper is a tremendous asset to the disabled, especially to the elderly who don't have Internet or can't easily navigate the Internet. This user-friendly add-on enables shut-ins and invalids to watch educational and entertaining programs seen by billions on the Internet daily at the time best suited for them within the confines of their home. If you have a credit card and use this software, please donate something to continue this wonderful service to the disabled. I rate this software with five stars even though only four stars are showing.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14502231, 8 years agoDid not work. Running Firefox 60.4.0esr (64-bit). Attempted twice to download a 90 minute video from YouTube. According to NetWorx, VDH downloaded all 1700 megabytes of the MP4, but after the download was completed, all that was in the download folder was a 100 mB clip with only a few seconds of the beginning of the video. And it was not in the folder that I had specified in Settings. A search of the hard drive failed to uncover just where the app had placed the 1700 mB data stream while it was downloading, so I assume the app erased it. Removed this extension, I'll have to try and find something else.
