- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13412248, 8 years agoVideo Download Helper jako dodatek do Firefoxa jest najlepszym sposobem na pobranie wysokiej jakości ze stron internetowych. Jest też doskonałym narzędziem do zapisywania lokalnie WeBinarów. Szukałem rozwiązań umożliwiających pobieranie wideo z sieci. Znalazłem kilka rozwiązań, ale występowały w nich liczne problemy. Video Download Helper jest w stanie dostarczyć najwyższej jakości wideo z różnych źródeł w internecie. Pięć gwiazdek i gorąco polecam.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13682502, 8 years agoThe new version of Video-DownloadHelper is horrendously bad. The interface has added complexity that offers no positive value to the app and obscures control of options that were perfectly accessible in the old Video-DownloadHelper. The performance of the "new-&-improved" (??!) Video-DownloadHelper is well-&-truly bizarre. I have no idea how long is required for the app to complete a download, because I am not that patient. I tried to download a file of about 250 MB and never finished; the app preemptively took over nearly 100% of both cores of my cpu and spiked memory usage, both while doing almost nothing network-wise. After several minutes of this state, the app had managed to download only about 70 MB. I could not get enough cpu slices to close Firefox or properly shut down my OS - hard reboot via power button was required!?! Note - I tried this experiment three times with nearly identical results each time.
Video-DownloadHelper used to be a solid, easy-to-use winner - no longer the case. Always sad to see a good app go bad.
Stay away from Video-DownloadHelper until the author reports having diagnosed and repaired the complaints reported by me and others. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13682032, 8 years ago

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13679666, 8 years agoI have been a VDH user for many years. Most of that time, I have had great results. However, since the use of the VDH Companion App has become necessary, I have encountered new problems, not sure if they have been reported on the forum because most of my search questions get no results. The problem is that this VDH Companion App causes, and has done so many times now, all 4 of my iMac computer cores to come on And my fan speeds to almost max out. 1796 and higher. How do I know this VDH Companion App is causing this for sure? I used Activity Monitor to find out. Once I used Activity Monitor to shut down VDH Companion App, my core use went back to normal and my fan speed dropped to normal. I had to use Activity Monitor to Shut down the VDH Companion App because I could not figure out how to do it otherwise and it was Continuing to run, even after I had Quit Firefox. How is this even possible? No apparent way to shut it off. Another issue is that there is no easy or clear way to contact the developer that I can find. I tried, again, searching on the Firefox Support forum on the VDH page, but Nothing comes up. I can't find a way to get feedback or questions to the developer. Apparently, there is a way, because I see that people post, but I can't find it. Why is there no direct link or email feedback form posted? Most of my other FF Add-Ons have a direct way, like an email link, that I can use to contact them. I see that many people have posted issues with the VDH Companion App as well.
