It's gone rotten, spams a big QR code nearly a quarter the size of the video on the files it downloads now. Look for alternatives, they're out there.

The app would be amazing if there was not a giant watermark on any video you download, unless you pay for the license. I would be more understanding if the "about" section would clarify on this but it doesn't, which feels deceptive on the devs part. It not hard to add that info in so user can make an informed download. Regardless you can achieve the same ability to download videos using multiple different desktop downloaders, which ending up being the choice I made after have a watermark cover almost half of the video i was downloading.
TL;DR: Extension works great as advertised but doesn't inform you that you will have a watermark on downloaded videos unless you pay roughly $30usd for a license

Paid for a license. I haven't used VDH in about 2 months. And now it is not working on web pages I have downloaded from before. Very disappointed.

Redirecting to download third party software when its a browser extension is really lame and bad. I don't know how this is recommended by Firefox.

Forcing people to download an external app is scummy and you suck.

Used to work fine until about a week ago. It makes you install a companion app and when you do, it works for that day and then the next day when you try and use it, it wants you to reinstall it once again

SCAM! Be very cautious. DO NOT USE. Do not fall for the clearly AI/paid bot reviews that the creep who runs this is using to flood the rating. In no way, shape, or form are you going to be happy with this decision. I've never posted an app review in my life, and I'm doing this in hopes to help YOU.

It used to be a good app and I fell for it. How to win a new user? NOT through the lies. You don't tell people how they need to download a sketchy software to their computer. Then, to top it off, you find out at the very last second that a HUGE QR code will be put on every single video. Never in a million years would I trust or pay you when you treated me as a new user in this way. NEWSFLASH, people generally like to see something work, and work well, before EVER considering forking over money. Rot in hell.

Post download it asks u to install another independent app. This sucks.

After I downloaded a file, I noticed that there is a huge barcode on the video. Guess what; you need to buy it. I'd add zero stars if I could - while the service is probably valid, you'd better say that from the get-go.
