YouTune customizes YouTube playback and appearance according to settings chosen by the user.

DATA HANDLING

YouTune does not sell, rent, share, or transmit personal information, browsing history, authentication information, financial information, communications, location data, or analytics to the developer or third parties.

To provide its user-facing features, YouTune processes limited user activity and website content locally in the browser. This includes interactions such as clicks, scrolling, mouse-wheel input, and fullscreen changes, as well as the YouTube video player and its interface. This information is used only while providing the requested feature. It is not retained as an activity history or transmitted off the device.

STORED SETTINGS

YouTune stores user-selected playback, volume, quality, control, appearance, filter, cinema-mode, and mini-player preferences through browser storage. Firefox may retain these preferences between browser sessions. The developer does not operate a server that receives these settings.

WEBSITE ACCESS

YouTune runs only on YouTube, YouTube Music, and YouTube mobile pages. It reads and modifies the video-player interface solely to provide its advertised features. It does not transmit page content or viewing activity to the developer or third parties.

Screenshots created with YouTune are generated locally and downloaded directly to the user's device.

REMOTE CODE AND THIRD PARTIES

YouTune does not download or execute remote code. It does not include advertising, analytics, tracking, or third-party data-sharing services.

DATA RETENTION AND DELETION

Preferences remain in browser storage until the user changes them, clears the extension’s stored data, or uninstalls the extension.

LIMITED USE

Information handled by YouTune is used only to provide or improve its disclosed, user-facing functionality. It is not used for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, or unrelated purposes.

CHANGES

Material changes to this policy will be reflected in an updated policy and extension listing.
