- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 17717312, 7 hours agoHey to all members who put in all the work it may need so it may, could be any good its small but very cool and clever so big in a way to this wep app is truly a big must-have for us all if you are a big Firefox user, and it's by far is too well I can't Live without it as your web app is just a 1 of 1 kind of Level as a Video/media and audio media downloading/saving project it is world-class it is an elite as 97 is garbage most will be usually failing to work at all so it's even why I Love it as much as I do, but I will start off by explaining to you how much a very big fan I truly am, so I had it on mobile first and I simply had Waterfox it did so Great it just works Amazingly so much so I even had to write it down cuz I may end up not remembering what it's called aa I couldn't even afford to forget as it's the best of many /best out of anything else on Firefox but only 1 is a match for it clearly meaning if I can't find many there is not many as Nothing a little google search can't find however it's only a bit, and surely it is Quetta Downloader but Non-else that fully works especially not as good as I'm here/I came by to wish a dev of such a powerful and Great Firefox web app it's known by media downloader a fun good happy time of day/night plus week month and in this Year and beyond it as you might see as it's obvious it's clear how big of a fan i truly am big supporter and II will never stop I shall remain a big supporter all my days of life but as a fan yes I do have my own Dan request I want to see so it can grow my requests will contribute to its growth as a web app of substance and quality it will amplify the quality more than it already is which is interesting but yh my #1 main requests is for y'all to us a permit list or block list however I think permit list is much better than black as a permit list can allow what ever you may need of which by our choice, but using a black list you will need to always keep blocking what you don't like and so you have to add and keep adding what you don't desire for this web app to run on 24/7 a white list blocks anything else by default other than what you wish and this feature is so pages will not slow down cuz its doing a heavy scan/digging of media on all pages you visit thus slowing them up and it is including YouTube, and it will get rid of that one little issue it has once and for all my #2 requests is to give it a stand-out name in which so it can be easy to always remember if you factory reset or lose your device or data in away ill Go with Ghost Media saver cuz of The unique for a media downloader Translucent interface it has, and a ghost is the most colorless if you want to Call it such or Translucent thing I can ever think of
- Rated 1 out of 5by Jacob42, a month agoClick download, the video download bar fills up, and then when it's full the screen goes black and it moves me into the settings tag and nothing is downloaded
Edit: I tried that and it doesn't work. Running iceraven Firefox on android 16.Developer response
posted a month agoThis is because you are using either Firefox for Android, the Tor browser or another browser that doesn't support background downloads. To fix this, in the settings section you have highlighted, click on "Force Android / Tor browser".
Out of curiosity which browser and device are you using? Maybe iI can fix it for your browser?
Also, I don't get email notifications if you edit your review so it's better to send me an email (at mediadownloaderunleashed@xn--3s8h30f.ws ) so I can reply faster - Rated 4 out of 5by Juan García, a month ago

Edit: Thanks for asking. I'll open an issue on GitHub then.Developer response
posted 3 months agoI'm always interested in improving! What did you find hard to use and how would you find it easier, if you don't mind me asking?

posted 4 months agoWell, the way it works it by looking at outgoing network requests from the browser. As long as a website uses standard media streaming methods (like requesting an mp4 file or an m3u8 stream), this add-on can download it! There is no specified compatibility list in the add-on (besides a warning when you try to download YouTube videos because I received a lot of reports about those), so even *those* websites can be compatible!
Thanks for the review and enjoy the downloads! 🦊 - Rated 5 out of 5by neon, 4 months agoThank you so much for this!
So glad i don't have to deal with all the other scummy extensions that try to get you to pay monthly fees after a few downloads.
AFAIK this is the only one of these types of extensions that actually works and is free.Developer response
posted 4 months agoYup, that's exactly why I started to make it! It's a personal project (I'm not a company), and it is local only, meaning I don't have to pay any server fees and I can set all the features to be free!
If you would like, you can still donate to me (via the heart button at the bottom of the add-on page) but this will not unlock any new features and I intend to keep it this way.
Thank you for the kind review! There's always the possibility that for some websites it does not work, in that case feel free to report an issue and I will try to take a look, but if it all works for you that's great!!
Enjoy the downloads! 🦊 - Rated 5 out of 5by Guy, 4 months agoHello, I signed up just to write this review. 😲
I read the mixed reviews and saw those people were maybe talking about a different extension, so gave it a try and wanted to give my two cents to clarify for anyone else.
For me this extension worked perfectly on Z00m. Great interface for selecting the correct media to download. Thank you for making this!!Developer response
posted 4 months agoWell, I'm really glad you enjoy it! Thanks for making the effort to sign up and write a review, that really makes happy!
This review is definitely more helpful than a 1 star "IT DOESN'T WORK" haha!
I'm not even really mad at bad reviews as long as they bring valid criticism (For example, some time ago a review said that they would prefer the add-on to open in a new window instead of a new tab, so I added this option in an update)
Or yeah, maybe they meant to rate another one, we'll never know!
Thanks agian, and enjoy downloading from (almost) all the websites! 🦊 Developer response
posted 4 months agoWhat do you mean exactly? Once installed the add-on starts working straight away. Is there any site you tried on that caused you trouble?

posted 4 months agoCan you please give some more details so I can try to fix this? Which website/URL did you try on? You can contact me at mediadownloaderunleashed@xn--3s8h30f.ws as I don't get notified when a review is edited.- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 19739930, 4 months agoMaybe if you can add support for documents files, like pdf, docx, txt, etc
Developer response
posted 4 months agoThis extension is mainly for downloading music and videos, as most of them are streamed in chunks and can't be downloaded usually by just doing a right click and downloading it via the browser.
If you want the add-on to stop detecting only media, you can uncheck both boxes in the add-on settings, under "Detection method" to show all the requests, but it can load a very large list as it will load documents but also page source code and JavaScript files, etc, so it's not really optimized for that.
There is another add-on that also can do that for documents and other types of files, it's called DownThemAll, you can try it at https://www.downthemall.org/ (not my extension) - Rated 5 out of 5by Lisbeth, 4 months ago
