Easy Youtube Video Downloader Express by Dishita

by Firefox user 13442864, 6 years agoThe only Youtube downloader that actually works. And you can forget downloading Youtube videos on any other browser. Chrome based browsers aren't allowed to enable Youtube video downloads. This addon is simple, easy to use, and it actually will download the video. Plus the developer offers great support. When Youtube recently changed something (turns out it was their encryption) that caused downloads to fail, I emailed the developer and after a few simple questions, he had it working properly again in just a few days. I've been building computers for the better part of 35 years. I've written scripts for professional software on Windows and Linux. And I'm here to tell you this is a great addon. There are only 6600 reviews out of 677k users. That's less than 1% of users posting reviews. And almost 78% of those reviews are 4 or 5 stars. You know that if the other 670k+ users were having problems, they'd be posting bad reviews here. Folks will always complain about something that doesn't work as they expect, but they often forget to praise something that just works well.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14314240, 5 days agoBy default, it places an annoying button under the video window which displaces other YouTube options and there is no way to disable it.

- Rated 1 out of 5by bow22, 5 days agoDownloaded and tried it today (April 20, 2026), but it is not working. Zero bytes downloaded whichever type (480p, 720p, etc.) I chose.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Manila-D, 8 days agoSometimes it works, and I'm able to download 1 or 2 videos if I'm lucky. More often it doesn't work at all and I'm not able to download anything and all it shows is a 0% download when I check the destination folder...
I've heard from people who have bought the Pro version and it's not reliably working as well which would seem to indicate sometimes it works and some times not...
There "was" a time when this was the best downloader out there, but unfortunately those days are no more...
And what I find utterly absurd is that Firefox continues to recommend it even after as many reports as they've received that say it's either not working or not working reliably...
To Dishita I have this to say: When it was rock solid reliable and you could download as many videos as you wanted, I did in fact post a 5-star review but later deleted it when it stopped working and there were no indications it would be fixed...
Give us a rock solid reliable downloader that lets us download as many videos as we want, I'll gladly delete this review and post a 5-star review...
Of note it does appear there might be limits to how many videos you can download when it is working... - Rated 1 out of 5by mudplayerx, 8 days agoDownloads one video successfully per 50-75 attempts. Most of the time it just "downloads" a video with zero megabytes.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Barnie, 8 days agoThis extension doesn't work as advertised. It simply does nothing. Not even the green download button that should appear on the youtube layout. Just the green icon on the browser toolbar with a message "generating link", nothing else.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Zach, 10 days agoWas a really good plug in and i used it a lot.
I payed for the premium version with pleasure.
But then, after 2 years, the premium version isnt working anymore for me.
So I ask the creator why and he told me that i need to pay again.
Like i already bought the premium version but then i need to buy it a second time ?
Im now using Notube wich is really nice too if you want. - Rated 5 out of 5by Window217, 10 days ago
