- Rated 2 out of 5by Dr Dave, 3 months agoThe free extension is frustrating, time consuming, does not choose the same country server as the PC installation & changes your PC local time to that of the server. Tech support wants pics & all the hairy details to solve simple, common problems. With every biz wanting fee for service, the public is getting nickled & dimed to death to give a CEO gas for their Bentley!

posted 3 months agoThat doesn't sound right. The extension affects your browser only, and not your entire system. That said, would you mind sharing your ticket number with us here? We'd be happy to check on your report and see how we can assist you further. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18808486, 3 months ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Carson, 3 months agoWorks like a charm. It sometimes makes websites run a little weird but I think that's just a function of the VPN being more private than the website would like. Ex: Microsoft Copilot

posted 3 months agoSorry to hear that. Could you share more details about the issue? Are you receiving any error messages? Do you have the auto-connect feature enabled? Do you have any other extensions installed for privacy/security purposes? Contact us by clicking on Help in the Proton VPN extension, then selecting 'Contact us' so we can help you troubleshoot. - Rated 1 out of 5by BLBC, 3 months agoWorks perfectly for a few minutes, then it simply freezes, both the extension and the entire connection. You can only fix this by disabling the extension. But when you enable it again, this happens again. And the only way to restore it is to completely reinstall it, only for this to happen again a few minutes later.

This wouldn't be a problem if not for the fact that you can't invert split-tunnelling — I literally only want to use the VPN for one or two sites that I have data on that are blocked in the UK but I can't without it causing problems everywhere else — so I have to continuously Connect/Disconnect via the long-winded means I mentioned above every time I want to use those sites.
Other than that, no issues, but I won't be resubscribing as it's really too much faffing about for something that you should be able to set up as a one-click connect.Developer response
