About this extension
Quick Bookmark Filer replaces the native "Ctrl+D > Edit Bookmark > Location" workflow with a fast, detached window featuring fuzzy search, a full bookmark tree, and keyboard-first navigation.
The extensions offers four modes:
Key features include:
· Fuzzy multi-word search with frecency boosting — folders you use often rank higher
· Full keyboard navigation — arrow keys, Tab cycling, Alt shortcuts, configurable keybindings
· Quick Links (pinned folders) and Recent Locations for fast repeat access
· Lazy-loaded bookmark tree with inline rename and drag-to-browse
· Duplicate detection with batch cleanup tools
· New Bookmark mode — paste a URL, auto-fetch the title, file it anywhere
· 40+ customizable settings: theme, colors, timing, behavior, keyboard shortcuts
· Light, Dark, and Auto themes with full CSS-variable color control
· Export/import settings to JSON
· Stats dashboard with bookmark archive metrics
· Detached OS window that stays open while you browse, remembers its position and size.
Designed for large bookmark libraries (tested with 100,000 bookmarks on modest hardware).
No external services and no data collection.
All feedback is welcome.
