- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 19669237, a day agoProbably one of the best tools I have used to control my ADHD impulsivity when it comes to losing focus and going down a rabbit hole.
It is very simple to use, allows you to block apps and websites across PC, mobile and web (or separate from each other, if you so wish), keeps track of how much time you spend on each one of them and categorizes it depending on its use, and if I ever actually need to pause the filter for a minute (whether its because my impulsivity won the battle or because I actually do need to access something that I have blocked) its at the same time quite simple to do it so my brain does not feel the urge to uninstall it and also just complex enough so I don't feel like disabling it every time (even though all you have to do is to find the filter bothering you and disable it by entering your PIN).
You can set filters to block a list of apps, websites or categories (which are predefined or custom lists of apps and websites that are useful to track time spent overtime) and decide whether you want to block them permanently, on a schedule (where you can define the time of day and days of the week that the filter is enabled), set a daily usage limit (i.e., instead of blocking Instagram or YouTube outright, you can set a 30 minute daily usage limit) or you can even enable a variable session limit, where instead of having a set amount of time that you can use an app, instead you state how long you intend on using the app when you open it and once you hit that amount of time it closes the app. And you can mix and match the filters as you wish and decide if you want them enable on all devices or only in specific ones (assuming you have an account and are logged in on all of them).
It really is an amazing tool that feels simple to setup and configure, has all of the functionalities and more that I could ask for and its invisible the majority of time, so I'm not constantly reminded of it or worrying about it. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 16884546, 10 days agolatest update breaks the styling of every website, making several unusable

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13113864, 20 days agoThere is currently no StayFocusd extension for Firefox. it’s only available on Edge and Chrome, and it is significantly better. With StayFocusd, I can block specific URLs like www.reddit.com/worldnews, which I’m unable to do with StayFree.
In StayFree, I can block entire websites or only block keywords, and this doesn’t work as intended. I often get blocking pop-ups on websites that have nothing to do with WorldNews, simply because the keyword appears somewhere on the page. This happens frequently and is very frustrating.
Please consider adding precise URL/path-based blocking to StayFree, or alternatively, bringing the StayFocusd extension to Firefox. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 18474806, 23 days ago

- Rated 3 out of 5by M., 2 months agoA great tool to control your time on different sites, but with a few problems with the informational page where you can see stats and all. It opens automatically when I open a new tab, but it takes a long time to load, same when I go to the dashboard.
A plus would be to show the most frequently used pages and, if you can access it, be able to click on it to load it directly. - Rated 5 out of 5by Ibadullah, 2 months agoWorks on all my devices. it syncs all thier screentime into one! and i can choose to not count screentime from certain apps like todoist since i do work on it. 10/10 def downloading again

- Rated 4 out of 5by ajay, 3 months agoit's interesting, but it keeps blocking essential sites (like gmail), despite how many times i remove that from the social networking category on mobile (which is ofc sync'd).
Today its not even letting me remove them from social on the extension. I want to give a lower rating but i'm being nice.. for now. - Rated 5 out of 5by Ghidorah599, 3 months agoI love their in-app blocking feature, makes youtube so much less distracting

- Rated 5 out of 5by Graxus, 6 months agoI struggled so long with digital addiction, doom scrolling for hours, wasting my life. I tried a lot of different apps and ways to control my issues, but none of them stuck for long. This app is the first one that I have kept and has truly helped me break by bad habits. I have recommended it to friends and family struggling with the same modern age drug that is digital media, and I will recommend it to anyone reading this as well!
It's time to get your life back, Stay Free! - Rated 4 out of 5by Potato, 6 months agoHelpful for productivity to a degree but has no mode where it is physically impossible to edit your settings like the nuclear option in StayFocusd
